‘Tis the season to be jolly! Time to have a toast with good friends and give cheers with the family. What better way to celebrate Christmas than with easy-made yet flavourful Holiday drinks! Here are our best cocktail tips for your festivities.


Bring on the holiday spirit

Hilkka is one of our most popular signature cocktails in Finland. The combination of lingonberry and rosemary (and the effortless recipe) makes it a perfect drink for Christmas festivities.

1. HILKKA
4 cl Laplandia Lingonberry
Russchian soda
rosemary

Rub the insides of an on the rocks glass with rosemary. Add ice and Laplandia Lingonberry vodka. Top with Russchian tonic and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

2. BEASSI

4 cl Laplandia Bilberry
Soda water
rosemary

Rub the insides of an on the rocks glass with rosemary. Add ice and Laplandia Bilberry vodka. Top with soda water and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

Beassi is a version of Hilkka but with the recently released Bilberry flavoured vodka. It has a more jammy flavour so we recommend switching the Russchian tonic to soda water. But Russchian works well also if you like your drinks more sweet!


Some like it hot

These wonderful hot drinks warm your heart and soul with the holiday season’s popular spices and berry flavoured vodkas. Especially good after skiing or rolling naked in the snow!

3. HOTTI
4 cl Laplandia Lingonberry
1 cl vanilla syrup
cloves
star anise
slice of fresh ginger
hot water

Combine Laplandia Lingonberry, vanilla syrup, cloves and star anise into a glass suitable for hot beverages. Top with boiling hot water, and garnish with a fair-sized slice of fresh ginger.

4. JUTO
4 cl Laplandia Aureus
1 cl honey
slice of ginger
hot water

Rub the insides of a glass suitable for hot beverages with a slice of ginger. Pour in Laplandia Aureus vodka and honey. Top with hot water, stir and use the slice of ginger for garnish.


Stay classy

Sometimes you just need a really good martini. A sprig of rosemary gives this signature version a Christmassy aroma. Galdu is perfect as an aperitif before the holiday dinner (or as uplift when visiting your mother-in-law).


5. GALDU

4 cl Laplandia Super Premium Vodka
dash of dry vermouth
sprig of rosemary
lemon peel

Combine Laplandia Super Premium Vodka and a dash of dry vermouth into a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled and strain into a cocktail glass. Squeeze the essential oils of a lemon peel on top. Garnish the cocktail with a sprig of fresh rosemary.


Bonus drink!

If you love coffee (us Finns surely do) with seasonal spicing then this hot drink will surely hit the spot!

4 cl Laplandia Espresso Shot
1 cl cinnamon syrup
hot coffee
cream
cardamom

Combine Laplandia Espresso Shot and cinnamon syrup into a glass suitable for hot beverages. Top with hot coffee and stir. Add a layer of thinly whipped cream on top and garnish with a pinch of ground cardamom.
